BPS Institutional Protection Scheme

The BPS Association Protection System is an arrangement under which the participating Cooperative Banks provide each other with liquidity and solvency support in the event of financial difficulties at any of them. The functioning of the Protection System is strictly regulated by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority.

Similar solidarity solutions exist in cooperative banks across Europe.

The institution managing the BPS Association Protection System is the BPS Association Protection System Cooperative. Its task is to carry out preventive actions, preventing the occurrence of crisis situations and support in corrective actions, in case of a deterioration of financial situation of any of the Cooperative Banks participating in the System.
